 | ISLAM MAHDY Chairman & CEO Islam Mahdy is an accomplished business leader and entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in hospitality, investment, and experience design. With over 20 years of experience, he has successfully led and managed a diverse range of innovative projects, including hotels, restaurants, and attractions. He currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of Credence Hospitality Developments and the Founder and CEO of Urbane Hospitality Developments, where his work has been recognized by organizations such as the World Bank Group and Conde Naste Traveller, and his brands have consistently been ranked among the top in Egypt. His expertise and ability to seamlessly blend his business experience and passion for experience design make him a valuable asset and leader in the hospitality industry. Islam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and Economics, from Babson College, where he graduated with honors. He also holds a Master in Science degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he focused on the intersection of Investment and Innovation, and a Master in Philosophy from the Royal College of Arts, where he focused on Experience Design. He continues to further his intellectual curiosity with a Ph.D. in Engineering Design at Imperial College London, where he is focusing on the intersection of Experience Design, Behavioral Psychology, and Hospitality. |
 | OSAMA HAMED Executive Board Member As Managing Director of Sindbad Club, Hamed consolidated Hurghada operations and led the club’s turn-around development plan with great emphasis on eciency, productivity, and most importantly, quality. Hamed is a 1982 graduate of E.G.O.T.H. Hotel Institute, Alexandria, and has gained rich management experience at leading international hotel chains including Sheraton and Renaissance Hotels. Hamed joined Credence in 1992 as General Manager of Sindbad Beach Resort, where he carried out an aggressive expansion plan that brought the total room capacity from 52 to 1,000 rooms, with future plans to reach 2,000. His application of international standards of product and service quality has won him the World Quality Commitment International Star Award - 1995 from B.I.D. (Business Initiative Directions) and World Quality Commitment International Star Award- 2005. |
 | DALIA MAHDY Non-Executive Board Member in charge of Family Business Governance In her present capacity as Vice Chairman in Charge of Family Council, Dalia Mahdy is the family constitution policies and family business governance. Dalia joined Credence in 2004 as Head of Product Development, undertaking the responsibility of improving the performance of existing establishments. Prior to joining Credence, she worked for Orascom Telecom as HR Specialist and PepsiCo Egypt as HR Senior Specialist. Her experience at both reputable organizations exposed her to a wide variety of HR strategies and a range of best practices in the elds of HR and organizational development. Dalia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Marketing, from the American University in Cairo. |
 | MOATAZ EL ETREBY Non-Executive Board Member in charge of Remuneration Committee Moataz El Etreby is a Vice President/Portfolio Manager for the Asset Management department of EFG-Hermes. Mr. El Etreby is responsible for several regional equity funds and segregated mandates which focus on the MENA and GCC regions. His areas of expertise include nancial institutions, real estate, and consumer services. Mr. El Etreby is an Investment Committee member, contributing to the platform’s overall investment strategy. Prior to joining Asset Management, Mr. El Etreby worked for the Investment Banking Department of EFG-Hermes where he participated in a number of key M&A transactions covering a wide range of sectors. Mr. El Etreby holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Business School where he was named to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Mr. El Etreby has also passed the three levels of the CFA study and examination program. |
 | AMR REZK Non-Executive Board Member in charge of Corporate Governance Committee Amr is the Founder and Managing Partner of the Consultancy Group for Corporate Restructuring and Development (Pylon) S.A.E; Amr’s career includes various leadership roles in economic valuation, change management, buy-side investing and operational restructuring. Through Pylon, Amr built the rst regional investment management advisory rm focused on assisting nancial clients unlock economic and operational value from direct investments. Prior to founding Pylon, Amr was Vice President and Head of Illiquid Investments at EFG-Hermes Asset Management. Prior to working with EFG- Hermes, Amr worked with Goldman Sachs’ London Investment Banking Division. Amr also worked for over ve years with British Petroleum holding, where he was part of BP’s Global Game Changing Team and took part implementing and deploying BP’s governance and management framework across the company’s Exploration and Production group for over one year. Amr holds a B.A in Economics from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
